A LETTER FROM EMELLIA

due to an increasing super high demand for live music (which is amazing!!) & taking this job extremely seriously since going full time, i am having to introduce a cancellation policy for my gigs.

As a young artist and musician, sometimes I think it gets lost somewhere that we do this for a hobby & for something to do to pass the time. However I really need to stress that, when a venue cancels last minute on us musicians, your heart drops because you’ve said no to 3 other venues that have asked for the same date & now have no income for that day. This is my living, my full time job, my full time passion!

I need to make sure that I am staying safe in the music industry, and so I think it is only right to my artistry to give her backup.

this is also available to view on my website, and I will be letting all of my venues know that this is my cancellation policy from now onwards.

I can only hope my venues & clients understand that this truly is only the right thing to do. anything that is weather dependant will of course be the same as it always as. as a 25 year old pushing for my dreams, I can only let go of so much. 🤍
